Planning systems of Greece and Germany
From February 14 to April 21, 2024, a one-week long charette took place in Hanover for students of the Bachelor’s program in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning and the Master’s program in Environmental Planning and Territorial Development. The topic of the charette was the comparison of the planning systems in Greece and Germany. The students’ task was to analyze the planning systems of both countries at national, (federal) state, regional and local level.
During the Workshop, the students answered the following questions, among others, through literature research and document analysis:
- What are the main characteristics of the planning systems in Greece and Germany?
- What similarities and differences can be identified?
- How have the planning systems developed over time?
- What are the current advantages and disadvantages?
- How can the planning cultures be described?
The results were presented in posters.
